The Sindh Service Public Commission (SSPC) has taken decisive action by suspending eight employees, including an Assistant Controller, due to their purported involvement in the leakage of the Second School Teacher (SST) examination paper 2024, initially set for February 20.
According to reports from SSPC sources, the individuals implicated in the incident encompass an Assistant Controller, two computer operators, and three office assistants, all found culpable in the unauthorized dissemination of the examination paper for BPS-16 positions. The suspension directives were enacted following the conclusive results of an investigative committee assembled by the SSPC.
In a related development earlier in the day, the SSPC announced the cancellation of the SST examination for 2024 upon discovering the paper had been compromised shortly before the scheduled test time. The commission has assured that a new date for the examination will be disclosed timely.
In an official statement, the SSPC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining integrity and transparency within its processes, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards any misconduct. The commission has urged candidates to remain patient and composed as the Chairman of the Sindh Public Service Commission has initiated a thorough inquiry into the breach. The rescheduled date for the now-cancelled examination will be announced in due time.
