Sindh Information Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, has strongly condemned Friday’s bomb blast in Karachi and urged the government to take decisive action against terrorists.
“The terrorists have intensified their activities and they are frequently targeting innocent people ever since an end to the ceasefire announced by Taliban militants,” Memon said while speaking to media persons at the blast site.The blast took place on the roadside in Delhi Colony close to Karachi’s posh Clifton locality. The explosion left four people dead and over 30 injured.
Police said government employees were the apparent target of the terrorists who set off a nearly 8-kg explosive device that they had planted in a rickshaw.
Memon went on to say, “earlier the responsibility was claimed but now they (terrorists) don’t do so. They are now targeting government sector… Peace talks are done with, it’s time for the government to take action. The people could not be fooled anymore,” .
He said that the provincial government will announce compensation for the blast victims.
