A friend influenced Shaquillet to reduce weight since O’Neal has lost 40 pounds and aims to lose another 20 before declaring his mission successful.
O’Neal has long struggled to maintain a healthy weight, despite not being one of the NBA’s most recognized eaters.
When he allowed his shape to deteriorate during the offseason, much to the chagrin of the late Kobe Bryant, it was a constant source of speculation throughout his playing career.
However, it appears that he was pushed to lose weight by a friend in 2022.
