In a joint operation by Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur police, the notorious leader of the Lund Gang, Shahid Lund, was eliminated in Kacha Bangla Acha.
The Punjab government had placed a bounty of Rs. 10 million on his head. Shahid Lund was a wanted criminal involved in over 28 serious cases, including the murder of police personnel, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, attacks on law enforcement, homicide, and robbery.
Inspector General (IG) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, commended the police teams for this critical achievement. He reaffirmed the police’s commitment to eradicating terrorists, dacoits, and anti-social elements from the Kacha area.

Sources reveal that Shahid Lund was killed during a dispute with fellow gang member Umar Lund. The altercation occurred in Rojhan’s Kacha Chak Beli Shah area, where a Karo-Kari (honour-related) matter was under discussion. During the argument, Umar Lund opened fire, fatally wounding Shahid on the spot.
