Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced an increase of Rs.1000 per month in the salaries of labourers at a special ceremony to mark International Labour Day.
He also vowed to eliminate child labour from the province of Punjab while addressing at the ceremony.
The chief minister of Punjab said that every labourer will get a salary of Rs 14,000 from July 1.
He also announced that Rs.1000 would be paid monthly to each child who left the brick kiln and enrolled in the school.
