Seven dead in road accident near Abbottabad

Seven people were killed and one injured after a passenger van fell into a ravine near Bhagnotar, Abbottabad.

According to local sources, a passenger van enroute to Abbottabad from Namli Maira when the accident occurred.

Rescue 1122 officials rescued the injured and the dead to Benazir Shaheed Hospital and Ayub Medical Complex.

Hospital officials said that five people were dead upon arrival. The dead include women and children, who were coming to Abbottabad for recreational purposes when the ill-fated incident happened.

Police officials also collected evidences from the site of the incident and have started investigations.

Local people and volunteers immediately reached the site of the incident to help in the rescue efforts which was hampered by the dismal road conditions.
