Senator Faisal Vawda has dismissed the Dubai Unlock leaks involving substantial Pakistani ownership in Dubai as mere propaganda.
Speaking with ARY News’s Off The Record with Kashif Abbasi, Vawda criticized the timing of the Dubai Unlock, suggesting they target specific societal segments and transform the report into a politically motivated document.
Vawda defended the individuals named in the leaks, including himself, asserting their integrity and challenging the notion that property ownership in Dubai indicates illicit activities. He questioned the implication that all persons mentioned have engaged in wrongdoing, noting his inclusion in the list, which has spurred inquiries into the declaration of his properties.
Moreover, Vawda speculated on the timing of the leaks, pointing out their coincidence with escalating issues in Azad Kashmir and emerging international investment opportunities in Pakistan. He implied that these leaks could be strategically timed to undermine such prospects.
