The Government has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi district with immediate effect on Thursday night due to security concerns. According to DCO Rawalpindi, Section 144 will remain in force till 48 hours.
Pillion riding has also been banned in the city. Section 144 prohibits the assembly of more than four people at one place for rallies and protests and also bans carrying weapons.
