Dr. Shan’s initial statement to police investigators included details about Dr. Sara. During the investigation, he admitted that he asked a hospital employee to delete a CCTV recording. He said Dr. Sara has been in contact with him for two years. They argued for days, he said.
Dr. Shan knew about his affair with a hospital coworker. He said Dr. Sara Malik arrived Friday and left later. He admitted asking for the CCTV footage to be deleted.
In the FIR for Dr. Sara Malik’s death, the complainant named Dr. Shan Saleem and Bisma (FIR). Police asked Dr. Shan about the CCTV footage, but he only said she was worried all day Friday.
Police say the girl jumped into the ocean to commit suicide because of Dr. Shan.
Dr. Sara’s post-mortem revealed she drowned. Investigators are looking into whether the girl jumped or was pushed.
