The meteorological department expects Karachi’s hot weather to become cooler, partly cloudy, and windy by Friday. Forecasts indicate that northwesterly winds from Balochistan will weaken significantly.
After the heatwave eases, westerly winds will likely occur in the evenings, with temperatures expected between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius.
This morning, Karachi’s minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius, with a high of 40 degrees anticipated. Meanwhile, Sindh’s other areas might remain hot and dry.
Two days ago, as temperatures reached 39.5 degrees Celsius, the Met department noted a partial heatwave due to the lack of the usual cooling sea breeze. They have assured that these conditions should not lead to a severe heatwave, which would involve temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius for over four days and humidity above 65%.
