Saudi Airlines will resume flight operations to and from Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar from today onwards, Terminal Manager Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Peshawar Airport, Syed Latiful Haq said.
It will operate its first Hajj flight today which will arrive at the Bacha Khan Airport at 12:40 pm from Riyadh and will leave for Jeddah at 2:15 pm.
Saudi Airlines had officially announced to restart its operations from August 28, after remaining suspended for an over a month in the wake of an attack on PIA 756 flight on June 25 which left a woman dead and other two crew members injured.
Meanwhile, Haq said that it is expected that Etihad Airways may also resume its operations from September 1 as it gave its deadline of suspension until August 31.
The suspension of flights has adversely affected airport activities and the general public as well.
