Amidst political upheaval, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faced another setback on Tuesday. Former Punjab Minister, Syed Samsam Bukhari, announced his exit from PTI, citing his disapproval of the May 9 events, especially the aftermath of Imran Khan’s arrest.
In his statement, Bukhari emphasized his stance against violent politics, asserting that unity among institutions is paramount. Shortly after his announcement, Bukhari met with Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President, Jahangir Tareen, signalling his intent to join IPP.
Other PTI leaders, such as Aoun Chaudhry and Numan Langriyal, attended the meeting. Bukhari’s official entry into IPP will be confirmed in a press conference later today.
