The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) spokesperson announced that repair work on the 84-inch diameter water supply pipeline along University Road will conclude by late Saturday or early Sunday.

The pipeline initially burst last Friday, with repairs commencing on December 3. The spokesperson added that a subsequent rupture occurred Thursday evening, necessitating additional repairs.

Progress is made swiftly, utilizing heavy machinery and numerous staff members. However, the spokesperson noted that the completion might be delayed due to significant damage at two separate sites.

Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, KW&SC CEO, oversees the emergency repairs carried out continuously to restore water supply to the affected residents as soon as possible.
