Rebel Wilson is set to release her memoir, “Rebel Rising,” describes working with an individual she labels a “massive a-hole.” Recently, she disclosed that the person in question is Sacha Baron Cohen.
Wilson stated in a now-deleted Instagram story, “I wrote about an a-hole in my book. Now, said a-hole threatens me with a crisis PR manager and lawyers to prevent stories about my book from emerging. However, the book WILL be published, revealing the truth.”
Wilson and Baron Cohen were co-stars in the film “Grimsby.” Wilson was determined not to be intimidated by legal or public relations tactics, saying, “The ‘a-hole’ I refer to in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”
When approached by Page Six for comment, Cohen’s representatives countered, “These demonstrably false claims are refuted by a wealth of evidence, including documents, film footage, and eyewitness testimonies related to ‘Grimsby’s’ production.”
Reflecting on her early days in Hollywood, Wilson shared an industry adage about avoiding difficult collaborators, a policy she now firmly adopts following her experience: “But then it really sunk in because I worked with a massive a-hole. And yeah, now I have a no a-holes policy.”
Regarding her time filming “Grimsby,” where she and Cohen played a couple, Wilson recounted Cohen’s persistent requests for her to perform nude. “Every single day he’s like, ‘Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?’ And I’m like, ‘No!'” She shared this during a radio interview, highlighting her refusal to comply with Cohen’s demands.
