In Kharochan, Thatta, Fishermen captured a rare Suwa fish near Keti Bandar, a notable event. Spokesperson Kamal Shah noted Hanif Katiyar, from Kharo Chan, achieved this. The catch emphasizes the Suwa fish’s rarity and value, highlighting a significant industry milestone.
“The significance of this catch cannot be overstated,” remarked Shah. “These Suwa fish are highly sought after for their rarity and exquisite taste, commanding prices that can fetch enormous sums in the market.”
Shah stressed the importance of pointing out the fish’s demand for its rarity and flavour, which commands high market prices. The fish’s scarcity increases its desirability, leading to secretive sales by some fishermen to avoid disputes or theft.
Shah mentioned that the cautious sale of Suwa fish is common among fishermen, who are concerned about exploitation due to the fish’s value. This catch reflects the resilience and skill of Thatta’s fishing community despite the secretive nature of the trade.
