Rangers conducted a targeted search operation and apprehended six suspects from the city of Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area earlier on Friday, while police rounded up two suspects from other parts of the city.
According to details, a conflict took place between workers of two different political groups in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar block 19. Upon receiving complaints from the area’s residents, a heavy contingent of Rangers reached the area to quell the confrontation. Rangers surrounded the area and conducted a search operation by searching residential flats in the vicinity.
Six suspects were taken into custody during the operation as police also recovered weapons. All suspects are said to belong to a political party.
In Gulistan-e-Jauhar near the Jauhar Mor area, police arrested two gang-war suspects after a brief encounter with them. Police also took into custody a suspect from Lyari’s Kalri area. According to the police, the suspect belonged to the Baba Ladla group and was involved in extorting money.
