Director-General Rangers Maj-Gen. Bilal Akber has denied issuing any alert instructing people to keep their children indoors to keep them safe from kidnappers.
DG Rangers in statement dismissed reports of the increasing child kidnapping and declared them as rumours and completely baseless. The aim main of such rumours which are spread on social media was to instill fear and create an environment of uncertainty to spoil the peace of the city.
He said that the Rangers and Police were there for the safety and protection of the citizens of the city. He appealed to the people to help identify those who spread baseless rumours. (PhotoNews / ARY News)
