Rangers personnel arrested the former right-hand man of Lyari’s notorious gang leader Uzair Baloch from the Karachi Fisheries area.
Sources said the paramilitary forces conducted a targeted operation in Rachh Mandi early morning today and arrested accused Waseem Ahmed, a market officer at Fisheries.
Waseem is the former Joint Secretary of CBA Union of Fish Harbour.
The sources added that Waseem was very close to the Lyari gang-warlord Uzair Baloch during the time of former chairman of Fishermen Society Abdul Saeed Khan.
He is accused of collecting extortion money from Fish Harbour.
Waseem has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
