In a shocking development in the murder of Dr. Shahid Siddique, a prominent PTI leader and private hospital owner, his son has confessed to orchestrating the killing.
During a press conference, DIG of the Organized Crime Unit, Imran Kishore, revealed that Muhammad Qayyum, Dr. Siddique’s son, admitted to planning his father’s murder over what he described as a minor dispute.
Muhammad Qayyum confessed to arranging his father’s assassination due to a personal conflict, finalizing a contract worth Rs 40 million, revealed DIG Kishwar. Authorities have detained all suspects involved, including the shooters, and have recovered the murder weapon.

Police reports indicate that Qayyum plotted to murder his father following a disagreement over his choice of spouse, which his father opposed.
In January, Qayyum attacked his father unsuccessfully. He subsequently contracted a hitman for an initial 50 lakh rupees, escalating to 2 crore rupees for a subsequent, fatal attack.
On the murder day, witnesses spotted Qayyum driving his car closely behind his father’s vehicle. Authorities obtained footage showing Qayyum trailing his father’s car. Despite leading his father’s funeral prayer, Qayyum vocally sought justice for the murder he orchestrated.
