Hammad Azhar, a notable figure in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has made a public reappearance at his party’s central secretariat in Islamabad.
Azhar’s return follows a call to action from PTi’s founder, Imran Khan, who urged all leaders who had gone underground to resurface.
Khan’s call came after an attack on party spokesperson Rauf Hassan in Islamabad.
Murad Saeed is among those expected to join Azhar in the public eye. Azhar disclosed that his return was prompted by direct instructions from the party’s founding members, signalling a coordinated move to reengage in the political arena.
Azhar also announced his plans to travel to Peshawar to obtain anticipatory bail before presenting himself in court. This strategy underscores a collective push for all previously hidden leaders to resume active and visible roles in their political engagements.
