Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to boycott the upcoming joint sitting of parliament.
The session is being summoned especially for the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who will deliver a speech. He is due next week.
“We can’t attend the joint session in the presence of a controversial prime minister. However, we are keen on playing our role in further cementing the Pakistan-Turkey relations,” Qureshi maintained.
He said the PTI would present its viewpoint before the Turkish ambassador to Pakistan and would also like to seek a meeting with President Erdogan.
