President Dr. Arif Alvi dismissed a report published in “The News” quoting him as saying former army chief Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa assisted the PTI during the 2018 general election and in the Senate as “self-concocted.”
The news was published in The News, Pakistan, in which the newspaper claimed that Alvi told journalists, businessmen, and foreign diplomats during a dinner on Saturday that “Gen Bajwa and his staff” assisted PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the Senate and elections.

The president indicated it was likely around October 2017 and April or May 2018.
