The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has won a town committee seat of Badin while the Mirza group is leading in another town committee of the same district during the LG polls.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results of Local Government Elections held here on Saturday, out of 6 wards of town committee Kario Ganhwar PPP returned successful on four, while Mirza group and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won one seat each.
From town committee Talhar, candidates of Mirza group won 5 seats of general councilor, 4 wards were won by Independent candidates backed by Mir Shahid Group and 2 candidates of PPP returned successful.
From one seat of town committee Tando Bago, PPP’s candidate Noor Muhammad Katyar returned successful. That seat was vacated by candidate of Mirza group. Meanwhile, counting for the seats of 4 union councils was in progress.
In the second phase of LG elections held in November 2015 both the PPP and Mirza group got 32 seats each of district councilors. Remaining 4 seats could give a decisive edge in district council to winners. (APP)
