Bahawalpur’s Islamia University is shocked as news breaks about an alarming scandal involving over 5,000 explicit videos. According to insiders, there are ongoing efforts by the police to downplay and contain the escalating scandal, which has already reached the desk of the Punjab caretaker chief minister.
University Officials Caught Up in the Scandal and Drug Discovery
The university’s director of finance, Dr Abuzar, the chief security officer, Syed Ejaz Shah, and the transport officer, Altaf, have been taken into custody in relation to the scandal. The university administration, however, is claiming these arrests as part of a conspiracy against the institution.
A startling revelation emerged when Syed Ejaz Shah reportedly possessed a significant collection of student videos and eight grams of the illicit drug Ice. This detail formed part of the report sent to the caretaker prime minister.
Police Counter Allegations with Claims of Bias and Drug Use
In an interesting twist, DPO Abbas Shah has denied allegations of bias against Islamia University, purportedly lodged by the institution. He asserted that there are 113 known drug-dependent students at the university. However, he underscored that the police’s target is not the educational institution but drug traffickers operating within the university’s sphere. His mission, he claimed, is to expose and eradicate drug abuse in the universities.
