The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) is leading against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on two out of three seats made vacant by disqualifications by the election tribunals on the constituencies of NA-122, Lahore, NA-125, Lahore, and NA-154, Lodhran.

Which party can win the elections in case of re-election in these constituencies was estimated after the results of surveys in the three constituencies and more than 800 people from each constituency participated.

In NA-122, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s Ayaz Sadiq won in general elections 2013 by a margin of few thousand votes while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan grabbed second position.

According to a recent survey of Gallup Pakistan, in case of election on this seat, 51 percent want to vote for PML-N while 36 percent people want PTI candidate to succeed.

A similar result was also reported in the survey of Pulse Consultant. According to Pulse Consultant’s survey, 57 percent people want to vote for the PML-N and 36 percent want to vote for the PTI.

In NA-125, Lahore-8, PML-N’s Khawaja Saad Rafiq won in general elections 2013, while the runner-up was PTI’s Hamid Khan.

According to Gallup Pakistan’s survey, in case of re-election, 56 percent of the people would like to vote the PML-N and 30 percent are those who want to vote for the PTI in this constituency.

Whereas, in Pulse Consultant’s survey, 57 percent of the people want to vote for the PML-N and 34 percent want to vote for the PTI in NA-125.

In NA-154, Lodhran-1, according to Gallup Pakistan survey, PTI seems to be winning over PML-N as in this constituency 36 percent want to vote for the PML-N while 42 percent are those who want to vote for the PTI.

In Pulse Consultant’s survey, the two parties here are seen exactly equal to each other. Those who expressed their desire to vote for the PML-N are 42 percent, whereas those who desire to vote for the PTI are also 42 percent—which means there might be a tough contest between Jehangir Tareen and the PML-N candidate.
