On Tuesday, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed on Twitter that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had developed the COVID-19 virus.
According to a tweet from the ministry’s official Twitter account, the prime minister has been feeling ill for the previous two days and was advised to do a Covid-19 test today.
The prime minister has tested positive for the virus for the third time. He was previously infected with Covid-19 in January and June of this year.
Sharif recently returned from a visit to his brother, the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in London.
