During his speech on International Youth Day in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the distribution of 1 million smartphones to the nation’s youth, emphasizing their role in future prosperity.
PM committed to equitably providing these smartphones based on merit to both male and female young individuals, positioning himself as a “humble servant” to the nation.
Highlighting the potential of the youth, he expressed confidence that they could drive the country’s prosperity. He also announced significant educational initiatives: sending 1,000 agricultural graduates to China on scholarships and training 300,000 young people in IT in collaboration with Huawei.
Prime Minister Sharif also touched on broader national plans, promising to unveil strategies for economic recovery and development soon. He called for learning from past mistakes and moving forward with relentless effort to achieve national greatness, urging an escape from despair towards hope.
In addition to technological and educational support, he announced initiatives to promote sports, celebrating Pakistan’s recent achievements, including a gold medal by Arshad Nadeem and efforts to revive hockey. This reflected a multifaceted approach to youth and national development.
