Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated a national initiative to enhance organ donation, featuring a unique logo on the identity cards of registered donors.
On International Identity Day, Prime Minister Sharif described organ donation as a “profound act of kindness that can offer a new lease on life to those in need.”
He encouraged all citizens to join this life-saving community by registering as organ donors. Those who do will have a special logo on their Computerized National Identity Cards, symbolizing their commitment to this noble cause.
In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that identity extends beyond mere recognition; it is fundamental for inclusion, representation, and access to vital services. Commemorating this day on September 16 aims to ensure universal access to proof of identity.
