Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a federal cabinet meeting today to discuss the forthcoming federal budget, which will be presented in the National Assembly tomorrow.
A PMO source reported that this session will allow the PM to brief his team on the outcomes of his recent China trip.
Also, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb will unveil the Economic Survey 2023-24, detailing last year’s economic performance.
In a separate engagement, PM Sharif met with Prince Rahim Aga Khan, urging the Aga Khan Development Network to boost investment in Pakistan’s tourism industry.
He praised Prince Rahim for his Nishan-i-Pakistan Award and appreciated his efforts in launching welfare initiatives in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral’s underdeveloped areas.
The PM applauded the establishment of various projects in the education, health, agriculture, tourism, and IT sectors. He also praised Hunza’s new software technology park and solar power plants.
