Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived Thursday in North Waziristan tribal agency.
PM Sharif arrived on a one-day visit to the area, where Pakistan armed forces have launched operation Zarb-e-Azb in mid-June this year.
Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif welcomed the prime minister on his arrival.
PM will be given a briefing on operation Zarb-e-Azb and relief efforts for the temporary displaced persons.
