Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on day long visit to launch a couple of projects and preside over a high-level meeting on law and order.
The PM will chair a meeting at the Governor House over the current law and order situation in Karachi.
After chairing meeting at Governor House, the PM will also join National Bank’s Youth Loan Program. Besides, he will attend as chief guest the launching ceremony of a major warship of Pakistan Navy Fleet Tanker at Karachi Shipyard.
The 17,000-ton heavy fleet tanker has been built with the cooperation of Turkey.
The project will further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey. It is an example of Pakistan-Turkey cooperation and Pakistan’s self-reliance in defense.
The Fleet Tanker is a true testament of Pakistan’s efforts towards indigenization and self-reliance, and enhanced collaboration with its brothers in Turkey.
The design of this ship by Turkey and its construction by Pakistan’s skilled manpower at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW), manifest an excellent combination to achieve indigenization through joint ventures with brotherly countries. (PhotoNews/APP)
