Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will address the London Conference on Afghanistan today (Thursday) and also hold bilateral meetings with US Secretary of State John Kerry and UK delegations.

London is hosting an international conference on Afghanistan today to outline the future course of action for the war-ravaged country.

At this conference, the new Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani, will hold his first face-to-face talks with key Western government leaders. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also attending the conference and is already scheduled to meet President Ghani, the new Afghan chief executive Abdullah Abdullah and Secretary Kerry.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz will be representing Pakistan at the Ministerial Level Segment of the Conference, where he will be holding discussions regarding opportunities and challenges to greater regional cooperation.
