Coke Studio’s hit ‘Piya Piya Calling,’ featuring the Quick Style dance troupe, has been nominated for Song of the Year at Norway’s P3 Gold Awards.
The season’s producer, Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan—known as Xulfi—announced this on Instagram, highlighting P3 as Norway’s top radio channel.
The song, with over 14 million views on YouTube, features performances by Norwegian duo Karpe, singer Delara, and Pakistani artist Kaifi Khalil. It also includes Quick Style, a hip-hop group formed by Norwegian-Pakistani twins and their Norwegian-Thai friend.
This multilingual track merges various cultures and rhythms, quickly gaining popularity in Pakistan, Norway, and beyond.
“We never imagined this timeline for ourselves. Yet, pushing artistic and love boundaries seems to prompt a similar response from the universe,” Xulfi stated. He provided a voting link for fans.
Xulfi thanked fans for their ongoing art support, leading to new, beautiful creations.
This song was also submitted to Grammy in the Best Global Music Performance category.
