In a crucial development, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), currently facing financial difficulties, has secured a vital Rs17 billion bank loan, a move that signifies a step towards financial stability for the airline.

This newfound financial support not only facilitates the immediate payment of employee wages but also revitalizes the airline’s service operations, guaranteeing the sustained provision of essential flight services.

A PIA representative conveyed positivity about the acquisition of the loan, noting that it has allowed for the smooth payment of salaries and uninterrupted flight operations, bringing much-needed reassurance to employees and dedicated customers who have been witnessing unstable times concerning the airline’s future prospects.

Recently, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan emphasized the airline’s focused efforts on meeting its financial responsibilities both domestically and globally. Furthermore, it has been reported that the fresh capital will also be utilized to settle debts with fuel companies and hasten the acquisition of necessary aircraft spare parts, enhancing the fleet’s safety and operational efficiency.
