Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced discounted Umrah fares for Pakistani pilgrims until July 15.

A PIA spokesperson confirmed on Sunday that these lower rates are available for flights to Madina from Pakistan.

Travelers from Lahore and Islamabad to Madina can secure a round-trip ticket for Rs86,000, while those departing from Karachi will pay Rs76,000. These prices do not include taxes.

Previously, Umrah tickets cost Rs120,000.

The spokesperson emphasized that the discounts took effect immediately and will last until July 15.

The Umrah pilgrimage occurs throughout the year at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. This season commenced shortly after 1.8 million Muslims participated in the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

Saudi Arabia aims to increase annual Umrah participants to 30 million.

Abdulrahman bin Fahd, an assistant undersecretary for Umrah Affairs, highlighted the continuous growth in pilgrim numbers each year.

Speaking to Al Ekhbariya, a local TV channel, the official discussed Saudi Arabia’s goal to attract over 10 million Umrah pilgrims this year.
