In a recent incident at London Heathrow, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight destined for Karachi was postponed for two hours. This delay occurred after UK Customs Officials held several flight crew members for interrogation.
Sources reveal that the UK Border Agency detained seven crew members of flight PK-788, scheduled to depart on Sunday. The detention followed the discovery of amounts of cash exceeding the legally allowed carry-on limit in possession of the cabin crew.
Murtaza Ali Shah, reporting from London, verified that all seven crew members were released after the detention and a subsequent questioning session. They are expected to return home on the forthcoming available flight.
In response to the incident, PIA representatives have stated that while the crew underwent questioning, no irregularities were discovered within their luggage. Following the interrogation, all members were permitted to depart, indicating a resolution to the situation without further complications.
