A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court’s Lahore on Saturday, seeking Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s disqualification under article 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
The petition has been filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Gohar Sindhu stated that single bench and two member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) had rejected petitions seeking Prime Minister and Interior Minister’s disqualification, whereas, both have lied to the parliament regarding army’s role as a mediator.
In plea it is also stated that Nawaz Sharif and Ch Nisar do not fulfill requirements of article 62 and 63 of the Constitution because they have mislead the nation.
