PEMRA on Thursday has issued a show-cause notice on Geo TV for broadcasting objectionable content during a ‘morning show’ hosted by Shahista Wasti. According to PEMRA, more than 5,000 complaints have been received against GEO TV.
In PEMRA’s notice the regulatory authority has asked a reply from the GEO network’s at the earliest.
PEMRA has forwarded all the complaints received to Complaint Council, which is expected to announce its decision within a week.
This is 2nd instance in row where GEO TV has been issued notice by PEMRA.
