The Pakistan Media Electronic Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has barred GEO News to broadcast interview of former Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan.
In a notification, PEMRA has notified GEO News channel that airing a representative of a banned organisation involved in killing hundreds of innocent people in Pakistan will hurt the sentiments of the victims of terrorism.

According to a statement, PEMRA said giving airtime to terrorist who was involved in hundreds of militant activities inside the country in which thousands of soldiers and civilians embraced martyrdom is very painful for the affected families.
The Pemra reminded that it would be the violation of Clause 3(3) of the media Code of Conduct agreed upon under the National Action Plan (NAP) and the directions of the Supreme Court.
