Tariq Bugti, President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), disclosed that Pakistan’s hockey team relied on borrowed tickets for their recent journey to the Asian Champions Trophy in China.

During an interview, Bugti highlighted the overlooked state of hockey in Pakistan and called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to allocate a special grant to the sport. He lamented that hockey is not accorded the recognition and respect it merits despite being the national sport.

He also announced plans to visit Karachi next week to reinforce PHF’s governance and regain control over the Edhi Hockey Stadium.
