Pakistani journalist Mona Khan was arrested in Greece for waving a Pakistani flag while hiking.

As per the initially reported, Pakistan television presenter Khan was arrested by Greek police while travelling with his son.

Khan’s coach, Mohammed Yusuf, confirmed the arrest and said police had confiscated her phone. Yusuf noted that the last time he spoke to Khan was an hour before her arrest when she told him she was being questioned by police for waving a Pakistani flag.

In an audio clip shared on social media, Khan can be heard saying she was arrested after expressing her intention to wave the flag. She claimed she was mistreated by Greek police and called on the Pakistani government to secure her release.

Yusuf also called on the Pakistani government to take immediate action to free her, noting that she was holding a flag with the Kalma Tayyaba inscribed.

Meanwhile, journalist Nasrullah Gadani, who was seriously injured in a recent shooting incident, died in a hospital in Karachi. Gadani was on his way to Mirpur Matello Press Club from his home when he was attacked by unidentified assailants near Mirpur Matello in Gotki district.
