Mazhar Ali’s funeral prayers are scheduled for Maghreb prayers. Sindh Culture Minister Zulfiqar Shah extended his condolences upon hearing the news.
Born in Karachi on February 25, 1958, Ali began his career with ‘Afshan’ and ‘Aroosa’. He gained fame with other shows like ‘Shaheen’, ‘Kali Deemak’, ‘Kaanch ki Guriya’, ‘Girah’, and ‘Haala’.
Ali, admired for his superb acting skills, retired from the showbiz industry in 2006. He had been battling heart and lung diseases for some time and had recently returned to Pakistan from Canada.
