Renowned Pakistani actor Mazhar Ali has died after a long struggle with lung disease.

Veteran Pakistani television actor Mazhar Ali has passed away in Houston.

Ali was celebrated for his roles in iconic dramas such as ‘Aroosa’ and ‘Afshan’. His family, now based in Canada, confirmed his passing. Ali left a lasting legacy in the television industry with dynamic performances across diverse genres.

The entertainment community is mourning the loss of this veteran actor, whose impact on Pakistani drama will be remembered for generations.

Mazhar Ali’s funeral prayers are scheduled for Maghreb prayers. Sindh Culture Minister Zulfiqar Shah extended his condolences upon hearing the news.

Born in Karachi on February 25, 1958, Ali began his career with ‘Afshan’ and ‘Aroosa’. He gained fame with other shows like ‘Shaheen’, ‘Kali Deemak’, ‘Kaanch ki Guriya’, ‘Girah’, and ‘Haala’.

Ali, admired for his superb acting skills, retired from the showbiz industry in 2006. He had been battling heart and lung diseases for some time and had recently returned to Pakistan from Canada.
