In fiscal year 2024, Pakistan experienced a significant migration movement, with 789,837 individuals moving abroad for overseas employment.
According to data from Pakistan’s Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment, the figure represents a slight decline from the previous year, when 811,469 individuals embarked on similar journeys. The decline is due to changing global visa policies and market demands.
The figure represents those who ventured outside the country’s borders to pursue better job prospects, reflecting Pakistani citizens’ ongoing demand for overseas work. This trend underscores the economic factors driving individuals to explore work options in foreign lands, seeking improved living standards and financial stability.
