Islamabad: Foreign Office says that it is in contact with the Italian government over arrest of suspected terrorists allegedly involved in financing and carrying out terrorist attacks in Pakistan. In a press statement on Friday, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that “our Embassy in Rome is in contact with the Italian government to get details, including about their nationality. The statement comes hours after foreign media reported that Italian police said was carrying out a “vast anti-terrorism” operation against an organisation inspired by al Qaeda that wanted to support attacks against Pakistan’s government and US forces in Afghanistan.
