Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s plan to legalize nine settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory of the West Bank.
According to a news release, the Foreign Office (FO) issued a statement today stating that the decision violates international law and key United Nations resolutions and the Palestinian people’s rights.
The FO stated that Israel’s illegal and immoral move would exacerbate the heated situation and jeopardize regional peace prospects.
It reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their cause. It advocated for establishing an independent Palestinian state along the pre-1967 boundaries, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It asked the international community to make greater efforts to prevent Israel from creating conditions that make the two-state solution more difficult.
