The Commissioner and DCP Lahore have not allowed Pakistan Awami Tehrik to hold a protest rally on May 11 on Lahore’s Mall Road due to security reasons. The PAT workers will now hold a public meeting in the city’s Nasir Bagh area.
Earlier on Friday, the PAT leaders held a meeting with the Commissioner and DCP Lahore to seek permission for the rally from Nasir Bagh to Faisal Chowk on the city’s busy Mall Road.
The decision came after DIG Operations, Rana Jabbar expressed fears of possible acts of terrorism and suggested authorities not allow the PAT rally.
