Pakistan Army Chief Visits LoC, Reaffirms Commitment to Defend Sovereignty

General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), said the Pakistan Army is resolute in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the homeland against all threats.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that COAS visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC).

General Munir emphasized the army’s commitment to supporting the just cause of Kashmiris and sought a resolution of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) by United Nations resolutions.

COAS also urged soldiers to assist the local populace, remain steadfast, and perform their duties with utmost sincerity and devotion.

The Chief of Naval Operations commended officers and enlisted personnel for their vigilance, operational readiness, and high morale.

Upon his arrival at the LOC, General Munir was greeted by the Corps Commander of Rawalpindi Corps. He was briefed on the situation along the LoC and the operational readiness of the deployed formations while meeting with officers and soldiers in forward positions.
