National Accountability Court indicted former disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam and Capt (retd) Safdar in corruption cases filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The accountability court hearing corruption cases against the Sharif family indicted Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz & Capt. Safdar however they pleaded not guilty.

In absence of Nawaz Sharif, his representative, Zafir Khan, attended the hearing where the charge-sheet was read out to him. Zafir Khan, pleaded not guilty on Sharif’s behalf.

The charges include 1) failure of the accused to reveal sources of their income. 2) Submission of fake documents in Supreme Court, and. 3) Making illegal assets in London.

The charges state that the 2006 trust deed of the London properties is fake as it used the Calibri font before it was made publicly available while the accused also submitted bogus documents in the Supreme Court.
