The Anti-Terrorism National Action Plan (ATNAP) Committee would meet today to deliberate the recommendations finalized by the 10-strong Working Group.
Federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will chair the meeting to finalize the recommendations mooted by the Working Group. The parliamentary leaders will be taken into confidence over the recommendations meant to uproot terrorism from the country.
According to sources, the working group proposed buttressing the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and reinvigorating the intelligence system.
The Working Group also suggested incorporating Wafaqul Madaris in the process to alienate the seminaries involved in sponsoring terrorism.
