Muhammad Taqi, the father of six-year-old vlogging sensation Shiraz from Siachen, Gilgit-Baltistan, has received support and criticism for temporarily stopping his son’s vlogging activities.
Explaining his decision in a YouTube video, Taqi cited the negative impact of fame on Shiraz’s behaviour. He noted that the young vlogger had become less affectionate and respectful, issues that were compounded by poor interactions with locals and neglect of his studies.
Taqi’s decision comes after Shiraz rapidly gained fame and a substantial following, amassing over a million subscribers on YouTube in just a few months. While some fans commend Taqi for prioritizing his son’s well-being and developmental needs over the allure of social media fame, others accuse him of manipulating his children’s popularity for personal gain.
Critics argue that having previously leveraged Shiraz and his sibling Muskan’s charm for social media success, Taqi is now sidelining them to redirect the spotlight onto himself. The debate continues as the community weighs the impact of early fame on young influencers.
